Jay received her undergraduate degree in 2000 from the University of West Georgia. Upon graduating, Janet began practicing at an intensive program for children and teens, and while practicing, she achieved her graduate degree in 2006 from Argosy University in Atlanta.

Janet has over 21 years of experience in many different roles and many different levels of care, from inpatient to intensive in home counseling. She is open to referrals from age 2 to 102. Her specialties are the LGBTQ+ population, parenting, anxiety, depression, poor self-worth, teens, and marriage counseling.
